The driver, who comes from the northern district of Coburg, wanted to turn left, but overlooked the oncoming motorcyclist from the southern district, who continued straight ahead. The collision occurred in the intersection area, with devastating consequences for the motorcyclist.
The seriously injured man was immediately flown to hospital in a rescue helicopter, where he ultimately succumbed to his injuries. The driver suffered a shock during the dramatic incident and had to receive psychological care.
