Large control on the A8: Police reveals cross -border offenses!
On Thursday, July 3, 2025, officials from the Bavarian police, together with the federal police and the Austrian traffic police, carried out a large -scale check on the A8 near Siegsdorf. The aim of the campaign was the cross -border commercial passenger transport of buses. A total of 25 buses were put through their paces. The police discovered numerous defects: a defective tire had to be changed on site on a bus, with another goods steering and stability control (ESP) broken, which made it impossible to continue.
Control also brought criminal activities to light. A 44-year-old Bulgarian, who had been illegally in Germany, was arrested with drugs and stealing goods. In addition, a 30-year-old Turk conducted four fake Bulgarian ID documents and was also taken into custody by the authorities. A total of 719 passengers were checked and there were numerous criminal and fine advertisements against other passengers. The police see control as a great success and emphasized the good cooperation between the authorities involved.
