In the night of Saturday, July 19, a fire was laid in Ingolstadt at the apartment door of an apartment building. Between 02:30 a.m. and 2:50 a.m., the fire alarm system on Wredestraße triggered the alarm and alerted the rescue workers. A stranger had set fire to a floor mat on the first floor, which caused damage of around 2000 euros at the front door.

The fire brigade was quickly on site, evacuated the entire building and initiated ventilation measures, while the fire was largely out of its own. A resident was treated outpatient due to slight flue gas poisoning, while the tenants of the affected apartment were unharmed. The Ingolstadt criminal police have started the investigation and asks witnesses to report their observations on 0841-93430.
