Donaustadt shaken: Frau (69) recovered dead from river!

On the evening of June 27, 2025, anglers alerted a lifeless person in the Danube with winegrowers, Deggendorf district. However, the rescue workers, including water watches from Vilshofen, Osterhofen and Hengersberg and the Nesselbach fire brigade, hurried, but were only able to determine the death of the woman. The anglers had discovered the dead woman around 6:25 p.m. when she drove down the river, just above Hofkirchen.

The victim's identity was initially unknown, but one day after the salvage, the Straubing criminal police inspection found that it was a 69-year-old woman from the Landshut district. There is currently no evidence of external participation or violence, so that the investigation continues after the mysterious incident.
