In the night of Sunday, July 20, 2025, an 18-year-old in Munich was the victim of an attack. At 02:50 a.m., an unknown man of the young woman approached on the sidewalk of the Sonnenstrasse and not only grabbed her to the chest area, but also missed a slap in the face. Her 17-year-old companion, who intervened immediately, was hit on the head with a glass bottle. The perpetrator fled towards Landwehrstrasse.

Thanks to a nearby police patrol, the 29-year-old, who is without a permanent place of residence in Germany and who has EritReiss citizenship, could be quickly caught. The 18-year-old and her companion suffered injuries, with the 17-year-old being taken to the hospital. The suspect is charged with sexual harassment and dangerous bodily harm and is to be presented on Monday, July 21, 2025. The investigations have taken over the investigation.
