Thenner See, Wartenberg, Deutschland - A tragic bathing accident occurred on Tuesday on Lake Thenner, near Wartenberg. A 42-year-old man from the Erding district was discovered lifeless in the water around 11:45 a.m. Despite the fast reaction of the rescue workers and the water watch, the man could only be recovered dead around 20 meters from the shore.

The Erding criminal police immediately took over the investigation. Initial findings indicate a bathing accident, while there are no indications of third parties. The deceased's vehicle was found near the accident.
