November has barely begun when the festive Christmas markets in the Berchtesgadener Land district are just around the corner. The run-up to Christmas is particularly lively here, and visitors can look forward to a colorful selection. From mulled wine, punch and gingerbread to unique Christmas gifts – there is something for every taste. The markets are not just a place to stroll, but also an opportunity to fully enjoy the pre-Christmas spirit. bgland24.de reports that various dates and locations have been set for the Christmas markets in the region.

The official opening of the large Christmas market in Bad Reichenhall starts on November 21st and runs until December 24th. On weekdays, guests can stay from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m., and on weekends even until 9 p.m. On Christmas Eve the market opens its doors from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Berchtesgaden settles in with its Advent, which runs until January 3rd. Here, visitors can visit the market from Monday to Friday between 12 p.m. and 8 p.m., while on weekends it even opens at 11 a.m. However, the market will be closed on December 25th, and on the last two days of the year the visiting hours will be from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The diversity of markets

In Anger, a charming town in the district, the Anger Christmas market beckons from December 6th to 14th, and opening times are from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. But Bischofswiesen also has an Advent market to offer, which takes place on December 14th from 2 p.m. If you are interested in another festivity, the Christmas market in Freilassing is the right place for you, which runs from November 28th to December 22nd. Please note, however, that the exact times are yet to be announced.

Laufen and Piding also have their own markets: The Laufen Advent market takes place from December 6th to 8th. You can set off here from Friday at 5 p.m., while on Saturdays and Sundays the gates are open from 2 p.m. The Piding Advent market takes place on the first weekend of Advent, also with different opening times. Things will also be magical in Ramsau near Berchtesgaden, especially during Advent in the Magic Forest, which is held on one of the Advent weekends.
