City Festival Bad Reichenhall: Music, culinary & security on July 5th!

The city festival in Bad Reichenhall is just around the corner! On Saturday, July 5, 2025, the center of the city is transformed into a festival area full of music, culinary deliberation, children's entertainment and information into regional institutions. The streets are closed to traffic from 10 a.m. to 1 a.m. so that visitors can celebrate carefree.

Mayor Christoph Lung is enthusiastic about the preparations and thanks everyone who helps to make the festival a full success. The organization team is made up of neighborhood managers, local restaurant operators and representatives of the city administration to ensure a smooth event. The musical start will take place at 10 a.m. on Rathausplatz, followed by an official opening with 11 a.m.

The security of the festival visitors has a top priority. In cooperation with the Bavarian Red Cross (BRK), the fire brigade and the police, the security concept is adjusted annually. This includes regulations on security services, blocking space as well as rescue routes and youth protection. The expansion of the event area at the Angerer fountain is new this year, which also includes the rear parking lot. Visitors do not have to worry about entry or access restrictions; The access routes remain open throughout.

The alcohol can be cut under youth protection law requirements that are monitored by continuous control courses of the security service and the police. The BRK had to record 18 missions in the previous year, including three hospital stays. For this year's festival day, ten BRK emergency services are planned, which are available with a treatment tent on Wörgötterplatz. Overall, the police do not expect any serious incidents, with the most common reports that relate to disputes and lost objects.

The pedestrian zone is already sealed off in the previous days to ensure the safety of the guests. In addition to the Rathausplatz, where the music plays, Salinenstraße is waiting for an exciting presentations by the authorities and clubs with hands -on activities and demonstrations.

The organizers also made sure that the noise pollution remains within the framework. Musical performances will end at midnight, so that residents and festivities can remain as undisturbed as possible. As in many other cities, where large events take place, security authorities and private security companies have also worked closely together to enable the celebrating a worry-free experience.
