Weather expert Kai Zorn describes the coming week as consistently warm and sunny, with the nights having a refreshing note. On Wednesday, early temperatures are expected to range from 10 degrees in Rosenheim to 14 degrees in Berchtesgadener Land. During the day in the Alpine regions temperatures can reach up to 28 degrees. On Thursday it will cool down a bit at night, but the maximum temperatures will rise again.

The weather situation brings a lot of variety. Here are the highlights for each day:
- Mittwoch (18. Juni): Höchsttemperaturen bis 28 Grad in Altötting und Rosenheim.
- Donnerstag (19. Juni): Temperaturen bis 27 Grad in Rosenheim und 26 Grad in anderen Regionen.
- Freitag (20. Juni): Höchstwerte zwischen 22 und 24 Grad – ein angenehmer Anstieg.
- Samstag (21. Juni): Der Tag könnte Temperaturen von 26 Grad bringen – sehr sommerlich!
From Sunday values between 14 and 28 degrees are possible, and next week could even bring 29 degrees. However, the tendency for thunderstorms will increase noticeably from Friday, which could provide some variation in the dry weather phase.
Summer heat and its consequences
But it's not just the current weather that's causing a stir. Loud PNP Weather experts expect an extensive heat wave in the summer of 2025, which, accompanied by little rainfall, will pose a challenge for agriculture. The already oppressive drought led to the lowest amounts of precipitation since 1931 in spring 2025.
On average, it only rained around 40 liters per square meter in Germany between February and April, which corresponds to a dramatic decrease of 68 percent compared to the last few decades. Regions in the northwest are particularly affected, where rainfall fell to less than 35 percent of normal levels.
This development could have serious consequences for farmers, for example in the form of crop failures and ever-increasing irrigation costs. One can only hope that the summer months do not bring the hoped-for relief and that the prospects do not end in bitter price chaos for consumers and industry.
The risk of forest fires is also increasing. A disaster was declared in the Erlangen area in May due to a forest fire, which further exacerbated the situation.
