Enterküken in Bamberg: Animal rescue operation turns through!

What animal use in Bamberg! On June 25th, the permanent guard of the fire brigade started an exciting rescue operation for some motherless ducks. In the street in Mühlwörth, very close to the Villa Concordia, the small feathered friends had made themselves comfortable on water lilies. But as fate wanted, the chicks were on their own, and the firefighters were challenged to help them. Oliver Essel, spokesman for the Bamberg fire brigade, reported that the chicks escaped the helpers faster than they could be on hand with a rubber boat. The undertaking, capturing the chicks with a kescher, must therefore be considered to be failed for the time being.

Don't worry, the topic of animal rescue remains exciting! In consultation with the responsible tenant, it was decided to leave the chicks in their surroundings for the time being. There is good news from expert groups: duck mothers occasionally leave their chicks alone at short notice, but usually return. The next few days will show whether the chicks are still traveling alone or whether the mom appears to pick up their protégés. Numerous onlookers persecuted the effort, which once more shows how important our animal roommates are.
