On the evening of August 11, 2025, a serious motorcycle accident occurred on state highway 2412 near Ansbach, which attracted the attention of rescue workers. At around 6:25 p.m., a 24-year-old motorcyclist overtook a car in a right-hand bend and lost control of his vehicle. This driving error caused him to veer off the road to the left and fall into a ditch. The impact against a moat culvert was not only painful but also serious.

The young man suffered a fracture to his right forearm and was immediately taken to hospital. The damage caused to the motorcycle amounts to around 7,000 euros, and a helicopter was even called in to support the rescue teams. Due to the accident, the state road between Herpersdorf and Langenloh was temporarily completely closed, which led to significant traffic delays. According to inFranken, emergency services were able to intervene quickly, but the severity of the incident has left the community on edge.

A dangerous piece of road

State Route 2412 is considered a popular route for motorcyclists, but it is not without risks. There have been repeated accidents here in the past. Another serious traffic accident was registered on April 28, 2021, in which a driver overlooked a motorcyclist while turning. Back then, too, a rescue helicopter had to be used to take the injured biker to the hospital, as Nordbayern reports.
