The fascinating family musical Zacchaeus conquers Schwandorf and Amberg!

A special time will soon begin in Schwandorf and Amberg: This Family musical about Zacchaeus, staged by the popular KISI-Kids group from Austria, is just around the corner. This young troupe is committed to retelling biblical stories with fresh melodies and lively choreographies. On Wednesday, October 29, 2025, the KISI kids will be on stage at 7 p.m. at the St. Josef girls' secondary school in Schwandorf. One day later, on Thursday, October 30th at 7 p.m., they will perform at the Dr. Johanna Decker Schools in Amberg. The performances last around an hour, making them a perfect family event.

The musical revolves around the story of Zacchaeus, a tax collector who often feels small, weak and on the margins of society. The central message that everyone is loved as they are speaks for itself and will not only appeal to children aged 6 and over, but will also make older viewers feel good. Tickets are available online in advance, but there are also a limited number of seats available at the box office.

A spectacle for everyone

As reported, there are moving performances not only in Bavaria. The musical is also performed in Taunus by KISIs, where around 50 young actors work on a voluntary basis. This interactive performance is aimed at school classes and families and promises a joyful experience with catchy tunes. Here too, the production introduces the themes of affection and acceptance in an entertaining way. The initiators encourage support of the KISI group through voluntary donations.
