Next Sunday, October 1, 2025, will take place inAmberg Congress Center (ACC)An exciting event dedicated to active living will take place: “ALinA – Active Life in Amberg”. From 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., over 80 exhibitors will present their offerings and invite visitors to discover the variety of information and entertainment. Admission is free, which makes the event a real crowd puller.
The exhibitors are complemented by a varied program. The lectures start on the upper floor at 11.45 a.m. with the topic “Being calm in everyday life despite pain”. Other important topics will then be on the agenda, such as heart health, natural wellness, healthy nutrients and the challenges of parenting. The finale is a lecture by Nana about healthy living.
Diversity for young and old
The workshops, which also start at 11.45 a.m., are particularly practical. Here, participants can, among other things, take part in a practical exercise on reviving the St. Marien Clinic. Other topics such as back health, humor in care, laughter yoga and “mindful movement” offer an excellent opportunity to try out new approaches to everyday life.
The stage program in the hall starts at 1:15 p.m. with a ceremonial opening by Thomas Bärthlein and city representatives. In addition to magic and a play, the program also includes hands-on shows for children and a fashion show. The dance and hip hop groups bring additional color to the proceedings. The TV 1861 Amberg prevention program, which actively involves visitors, is also notable.
A highlight for the little ones
There is a special children's program for the youngest guests, which includes fairytale princesses and superheroes for photos and face painting from 3 p.m. Carousel rides, cotton candy and bouncy castles also provide lots of fun and variety.
Last year, the event established itself as an important platform for active life in Amberg. MayorMichael CernyandSusanne Augustin, head of the Department for Youth, Senior Citizens and Social Affairs, were extremely positive about the variety of topics and the successful mix of information and entertainment. Around 4,000 visitors came to the first edition in October 2023, who particularly appreciated the lectures by alternative practitioner Susanne Bernegger-Flintsch. The Marien Clinic's wellness oasis was so popular that it temporarily reached its capacity limits.
The feedback from the participants will once again be valuable in order to further improve the event. The next editions will be dedicated to new social developments, while the tried and tested formats will be retained. Visitors can look forward to a strong focus on cardiology, training, sports and smart services.
