Raise your glasses! Amberg-Sulzbacher Kirwatanz Marathon attracts with beer and dancing!

Next November 22nd, the second Amberg-Sulzbacher Kirwatanz marathon will be held in the picturesque cultural castle Theuern. As the Central Bavarian reported, the event begins at 10:30 a.m. and ends at 6:30 p.m. This special celebration promises not only dance sport at a high level, but also lots of fun and conviviality for all participants and visitors.

Registration for the marathon starts today, August 15th, at www.kulturerbe-kirwa.de. A participation fee of 50 euros per couple not only includes marathon T-shirts and food, but also a whopping 20% discount on concert tickets. One of the great innovations this year are the two knockout rounds, which require not only speed but also knowledge of Kirwa traditions. So fun is guaranteed here!

A full program for young and old

Before hitting the dance floor, the morning pint starts from 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. - an ideal time to relax with a beer and enjoy the anticipation of the event. There will also be a family tour of the East Bavaria Mining and Industrial Museum at 3 p.m., which will definitely offer some exciting insights.

The Birgland musicians and the band In Oiner Dur provide musical accompaniment throughout the day. Further entertainment is provided: exhibitors and a photo box await visitors, and various food and drinks are available. And if you want to stay longer, you can dance at the Band d’Hundskrippln performance from 8 p.m. Tickets for the concert cost 20 euros in advance.

A win for the next Kirwa

Whoever keeps dancing until the end has the best chance of winning, because this is the only way they can secure the main prize of 200 liters of beer for the next Kirwa. In addition, if there are several final couples, a random elimination process decides the outcome.

The day is rounded off with a variety of culinary delicacies and refreshing drinks - there is something for every palate. So go ahead and register for an unforgettable day full of tradition and community! For more information take a look at the Central Bavarian.
