On Thursday afternoon, a significant traffic accident occurred on Vilstalstrasse between Amberg and Kümmersbruck in the Amberg-Sulzbach district. The accident happened around 4 p.m. when a 41-year-old driver was driving from Amberg towards Kümmersbruck. She wanted to turn left on Heiner-Fleischmann-Straße, but had to stop due to traffic. The 49-year-old driver of the bus recognized the situation too late and collided with the rear of the stationary car. The impact threw the car into oncoming traffic, where it collided with another oncoming vehicle driven by a 29-year-old from Amberg.

A total of 13 people were affected in this incident. Six of them suffered minor injuries and had to be taken to nearby hospitals.
