Final before the big BFV Cup: Pipinsried and Aindling in the hurdle!
On July 4, 2025, Bavarian football will be dominated by the BFV Cup. With 64 teams fighting for a place in the main round, the excitement is palpable. This will be held on July 19th and 20th, while 50 places have already been taken by Bavarian third division teams, regional and state league teams as well as the 22 district cup winners. The draw for the 14 remaining participants who still have to be determined in the 3rd qualifying round will take place on July 11th in Bad Kötzting Danube Courier reported.
For FC Pipinsried and TSV Aindling there are still crucial encounters to make their place in the main round perfect. FC Pipinsried will face TSV Dachau 1865 on Saturday at 3 p.m., while TSV Aindling will face Türkspor Augsburg on Sunday. These games are crucial to maintain the chances of reaching the cup. Pipinsried recently won the Sparkasse Cup against Dachau 1865 2-0, which should give the team further impetus. Head coach Josef Steinberger has set himself big goals and wants his team to go far in the Toto Cup. Sporting director Johannes Müller knows how important the upcoming game is for both teams, so exciting moments are guaranteed.
Injuries and lineups
However, the anticipation of the games is clouded by some personnel challenges. Pipinsried has to do without Max Dombrowka (knee injury) and Jonas Lindner (torn muscle bundle). Mohamed Bekaj also has no playing rights as a guest player, and Paul Iffarth is expected to return to FC Stätzling. The changed starting lineup becomes all the more interesting as some players who were not on the pitch recently are now ready to demonstrate their skills.
On the other hand, TSV Aindling is saddened by the loss of team manager Magnus “Macco” Hoffmann, who has passed away. Coach Florian Fischer finds it difficult to focus on sports, especially since the cancellation of a test match against Wörnitzstein did not make preparation any easier. While Noah Menhart and Dominic Robinson are unavailable, they can at least take part in running training. Another problem child is Jonas Simon, whose availability is questionable due to muscular problems. Despite planning a move to Austria, Antonio Mlakic remains in the team.
Competitive advantages in the Toto Cup?
In the last few weeks, FC Pipinsried has shown that they can survive under pressure. They defeated TSV 1860 Munich in the quarter-finals of the Toto Cup round, a result that still causes a stir. Despite Ludwig Räuber being sent off in the 65th minute, Pipinsried was able to defend strongly and was not thrown off course by a missed penalty from the Lions. Focusing on what's important at the right time is proving to be their key to success, and that strength could also be important against Dachau on Saturday.
On the other hand, Türkspor Augsburg is planning personnel changes after a clear 1:5 defeat in a friendly against Aystetten. How these changes will affect the team remains to be seen. However, one thing is certain: fans can look forward to exciting games that are of great importance not only for the teams, but also for the entire region. A hot fight for the cup is coming!
