On August 14, 2025, the temporary pedestrian bridge over the Kössein was opened, which was built by the city of Marktredwitz at the suggestion of citizens. This temporary bridge allows pedestrians and, with a little effort, cyclists to cross the Kössein and get directly onto the Wallenstein cycle path, opening up new opportunities for walkers and cyclists. The groundbreaking ceremony recently took place to enable the new construction of the “Old Stone Bridge” over the Kössein.
