At around 4 p.m., a taxi from the direction of Treuchtlingen crossed into oncoming traffic and collided head-on with two oncoming cars. A 49-year-old driver of an Opel was killed immediately. The 42-year-old taxi driver, however, was seriously injured and had to be flown to a hospital in a rescue helicopter.
