Internships and holiday jobs: Weiden offers opportunities for students!
On June 16th, an important step was taken in Weiden to support young people in career orientation. The Student Union has published its internship and holiday job catalog, which is now available on the official CSU-Weiden website. The aim of this initiative is to provide students and trainees in the Weiden and Neustadt area with valuable information about various professional fields in order to make it easier for them to enter professional life. Upper Palatinate Echo reports that the selection of regional companies is intended to help give young people insights into industries such as manufacturing, administration, services and IT.
The symbolic handover of the catalog took place at the Old Town Hall in Weiden, where the catalog was handed over to the mayoral candidate Benjamin Zeitler. SU district chairman Paul Zaruba expressed his thanks to everyone involved and emphasized the commitment of the young members of the SU. Despite initial rejections from companies, the project was pushed forward successfully. This catalog is not only the first major project of the SU district associations Weiden/Neustadt, which have existed since February, but also an important building block in building a bridge between companies and young people.
Diverse options for students
The catalog not only provides an overview of internships, but also summer jobs that represent an excellent opportunity to earn money during the 2025 summer holidays. A look at the offerings shows that students from Weiden and the surrounding towns in the Upper Palatinate have the chance to gain insights into the professional world. In addition to traditional internships, there are also special programs such as the “School of Hackers”, which specifically focus on technological and digital careers.
If you are looking for the right internship or holiday job, you can find out more on the Witt Group website. This platform summarizes essential information and offers a user-friendly way to find out about the offers and apply, as the Witt Group website shows: Witt group.
Additional support for job seekers
If you are not comfortable looking for an internship or holiday job, the Federal Employment Agency offers support. Their platform is the largest job exchange in Germany and allows users to find and register for jobs free of charge. It is particularly helpful that people without a professional qualification can also find support here. The Central International and Specialist Placement Office (ZAV) is also a contact point for foreign students looking for internships or holiday jobs in Germany. Further information can be found on the website Federal Employment Agency.
With the new internship and holiday job catalog, Weiden is ideally positioned to offer young people in the region successful orientation and valuable first experiences in professional life. It remains to be hoped that many pupils and students will take advantage of this opportunity and thus make a contribution not only to their own future, but also to the economy in Upper Palatinate.
