30 years of sports history: TSV Detag Weiden celebrates big alumni meetings!
Weiden in der Oberpfalz, Deutschland - The time has come again - the alumni meeting of TSV Detag Weiden has opened its doors! In a sociable round, numerous former athletes met on July 21, 2025 to celebrate 30 years of cohesion and the shared passion for sport. For the fifth time, this colorful get -together took place in the clubhouse of the Schirmitz small animal breeding association, where old stories and memories came alive until late at night. Every year, visitors literally stick to the old anecdotes, and so it was again. Participants even traveled from cities such as Regensburg, Nuremberg and Munich to be part of this special moment. A look back shows that the tradition of the meeting has been firmly anchored in club life since the merger with SV Weiden over 30 years ago.

What would such a meeting be without the physical well -being? With his delicious roll roasts and grill chicken, Dragan Miletic ensured that the guests didn't have to stay hungry. Culinary delights were of course part of the good tone and ensured that not only the conversations, but also the culinary delights ran at full speed. Many new faces were there, which made the meeting particularly alive.

Not only friendships are maintained here, but also recognized the legacy of the association, which was founded in 1903 as a sports club Weiden and then merged in 1992 at today's SpVgg SV Weiden. The club has experienced a lot in its history and is today in the Bayernliga North in 7th place.

SpVgg SV Weiden, now chaired by Michael Kurz, has lived through numerous ups and downs in recent decades. After the bankruptcy and reorganization in 2010, the old team formed a new one that quickly made a name for itself. The development of the association towards today's SpVgg is a success story that reflects the commitment of the entire club and fans. The home stadium, Sparda Bank, offers space for up to 7,600 spectators and is a symbol of the connection with the city of Weiden in the Upper Palatinate.
The next meeting has already been determined and will be scheduled for 2026 - a clear sign that the love of sport and community remains unbroken.
