Five Lakes Film Festival receives 47,000 euros – a symbol of culture in Starnberg!

Starnberg remains true to its cultural scene. The city's cultural committee recently decided to extend the subsidy claim Five Lakes Film Festival (FSFF) to support with an impressive 47,000 euros - 38,000 euros of which go to a project grant, while 9,000 euros are earmarked for the free use of the Schlossberghalle. The grant corresponds exactly to the amount that Matthias Helwig, the organizer, applied for.

However, the decision was not made without discussions. While Mayor Patrick Janik and other groups advocated for the subsidy, the CSU and the UWG rejected a higher amount. It is clear that the city is acting more generously this year than in the past, even if there were some cuts, such as at the Starnberg Montessori School and the Munich Rowing and Sailing Club.
