The anticipation for the performance “Blues Brothers” in the theater in the community center is palpable. On Tuesday, February 10th and Wednesday, February 11th, at 7:30 p.m., the audience will be taken into the world of Jake and Elwood Blues, who embark on a turbulent mission: They want to save the orphanage in which they grew up from ruin. This is no easy task, and so the two happy chaotics get their old band back together and use music as a weapon to achieve their goal. As MainPost reports, this production will not only be peppered with a lot of humor, but will also offer a lot of chaos, chases and crazy encounters.
The show's soundtrack is a veritable festival of hits, including "Sweet Home Chicago," "Everybody Needs Somebody To Love," "Soul Man," "Gimme Some Lovin'" and "Jailhouse Rock." The band is not just accompanying music, but becomes an integral part of the event, allowing the audience to immerse themselves even deeper in the rousing atmosphere. The audience can expect an interactive experience in which they clap, dance and sing along and thus become part of the show.
The heroes of the show
The Blues Brothers, originally formed in the 1970s by comedians Dan Aykroyd and John Belushi, have had an impressive career.
