Benefit evening in Schwandorf: Integration as the key to the future!
The charity evening, which took place in the “House of Encounter Metropol” in Schwandorf, was a real highlight for everyone who is committed to integration in the region. Organized by the Integration Schwandorf sponsoring association under the motto “Shaping integration – opportunities for our region”, the event attracted numerous representatives from politics, business and voluntary work. The guests included large employers such as F.EE, Horsch, Nabaltec, EMZ-Hanauer and Quadrus, as well as service clubs such as Rotary, Lions and Round Table. This broad participation shows how important the topic of integration is for our society. Loud Central Bavarian The contributions and exchanges not only shed positive light on the need for integration, but also actively encouraged encounters and collaboration.
In his speech, state parliament member Karl Straub (CSU) emphasized the social importance of integration, migration and demographic change. He emphasized that integration is a common task for the entire society, and not just for immigrants. “There is something going on,” one might say, because the commitment of the companies and regional cooperation were also praised. Mayor Richard Reischl from Hebertshausen reported on his experiences with a large accommodation for refugees and emphasized the importance of clear structures in volunteer work. Martin Birner, Mayor of Neunburg, shared positive experiences with international company employees and refugees who have already made valuable contributions to the community.
Diversity of projects
Integration Schwandorf's projects were also an important topic that evening. Alexandra Fleischmann and Elke Reinhart presented various educational offers that aim to promote cooperation in our region. In particular, the concept “Metropol – Living together” was presented, which aims to bring the entire society together and strengthen volunteerism. The evening is described as a clear signal for the region and signals that the Integration Schwandorf team is not alone.
The highlight of the event was the premiere of a new film that provided information about the association's donation-financed projects. These visuals highlighted the need for support and the opportunities presented by integration. Such events are particularly important in times when demographic change and new lifestyles challenge society.
The exchange between guests from business, communities and volunteers was lively and enriching. An evening that not only stimulates but also motivates others to become active themselves. Because integration requires commitment, and everyone can contribute, be it by donating time, money or simply by lending an open ear. The possibilities are diverse, and the motto mentioned at the beginning “Shaping integration – opportunities for our region” couldn’t be more apt.
In mathematics, the principle of integration is known for combining parts into a whole. That is exactly what is happening here: we need to bring together the parts of our society that are often separated or isolated. Finally, integration can also be viewed as a type of mathematics where, as in the world of numbers, the whole is often greater than the sum of its parts. Regardless of whether in political discussions or in everyday interactions – it is important to promote dialogue and build bridges.
