World Slide Vision Festival in Mellrichstadt: The anniversary of travel!

The World Dia Vision Festival in Mellrichstadt is about to have a very special celebration: the twentieth edition of this popular event will be celebrated from November 21st to 23rd, 2025. In the Oskar Herbig Hall, visitors can expect a festive program that opens their eyes to the diversity of our earth. Organized by the VHS Rhön-Grabfeld gGmbH, the festival has established itself over the years as a platform for personal encounters and intercultural exchange.

A highlight of the festival are the four exciting multivisions to which renowned speakers were invited. On Friday, November 21st, Reiner Harscher opens the event with a lecture about the fascinating landscapes of Morocco. The following Saturday, November 22nd, it continues at 4:30 p.m. with André Schumacher, who presents the beauties of Europe. In the evening at 7:30 p.m. the focus will be on the Baltic countries, presented by Aneta & Dirk Pleyer. Finally, on Sunday at 4:30 p.m., Olaf Krüger will talk about his experiences in India. These lectures promise not only breathtaking images, but also moving travel reports and personal encounters that stimulate reflection and dreaming.

Reduced entry and festival extras

Anyone who would like to be part of the anniversary festival can look forward to reduced entry prices. Advance sales are a real blast at 14 euros for adults and 7 euros for children up to 12 years old. At the box office you pay 17 euros (10 euros for children). A special treat is the festival ticket for all four events, which is available for 50 euros. Tickets were previously available online www.wdv-festival.de and www.reservix.de available in advance.

Another attraction of the festival are the competitions after each lecture, where participants have the chance to win great prizes. In addition, physical well-being is taken care of: visitors can look forward to food and drinks from the countries featured, and a festival bazaar invites you to browse.

The World Dia Vision Festival is not only an excellent opportunity to immerse yourself in distant countries, but also a wonderful opportunity to meet like-minded people and exchange ideas about travel and intercultural experiences. It’s definitely worth a visit – there’s something there!
