Investments and opportunities
In the next 36 months, 485 additional addresses in Mellrichstadt are to be provided with a fiber optic connection. 100 kilometers of fiber optic cables will be laid and 26 new network distributors will be built. This expansion cost a whopping 4.2 million euros, with more than 1.7 million euros provided by federal funds. However, the local city also contributes its part - a total of around 345,000 euros comes from Mellrichstadt.
Together with Sandberg, Bastheim and Unsleben, an investment of around 3.3 million euros will be made as part of this project to expand 226 addresses in Sandberg, 101 in Unsleben and 42 in Bastheim.
