BR Cycle Tour 2025: Adventure on two wheels and musical highlights!
On July 8th, 2025 the time has finally come: the BR cycle tour stops in Bad Neustadt a.d. Saale and not only delights cyclists, but also countless spectators with a colorful program. The big cycling day, which begins at 8.30 a.m. in Bad Neustadt, takes the participants on a...85 kilometer long routethrough the beautiful Rhön until you arrive back at the starting point around 5 p.m.
The safe conduct of the tour is ensured by the accompaniment of police, paramedics and a dedicated team of bicycle and motorcycle stewards. Mobile bicycle workshops are also available to provide quick assistance in the event of minor breakdowns. Cyclists can take breaks at various break locations, such as in Ostheim v.d. Rhön, Fladen – the northernmost town in Bavaria, and Bischofsheim i.d. Rhön, provide drinks and snacks.
Lunch break and open-air concert
The middle station is organized in the Franconian Open Air Museum in Fladungen, where participants can take a long lunch break. A wide range of food and drinks as well as an entertaining stage program are offered here. After the tour, which ends with a great celebration on the market square, visitors can look forward to an open-air concert with the popular musician from 5 p.mRainhard Fendrichbe happy. Fendrich will not only present his well-known hits, but also perform songs from his new album.
Entertainment will also be provided by a pre-program with a Bayern 1 band, and the evening will end with a DJ from Bayern 1. A helmet requirement ensures additional safety along the entire route.
Preparations in Bruckmühl
But the BR cycle tour has even more to offer! On July 31st it will be a great one in BruckmühlOpen air festivalorganize. Here the organizers expect around1000 cyclists and 6000 visitors. Preparations have been going on for months and the anticipation is huge. In addition to the festive atmosphere, culinary highlights are also planned, such as:130 kilos of spare ribsthat are inserted.
The event is a joint project between various clubs and institutions, and a parking guidance system will ensure smooth arrival. However, visitors must note that there are no parking options in town or on the side streets. Parking spaces are available on Kirchdorfer Straße and Rösnerwiese, while disabled parking spaces are available opposite the gallery on Sonnenwiechser Straße.
On July 31st, Bahnhofstrasse will be closed until August 1st at 12 p.m., but access to Wimmerweg will still be possible. From 4 p.m. there will be entertainment on Bahnhofstrasse with artistic cyclists and musicians, before the festival area opens from 5 p.m. and entertains with performances by various artists until midnight.
