Dynamo Dresden celebrates a 5-1 victory over Regensburg in the Auerbach friendly!

A new glimmer of hope for Dynamo Dresden: In the friendly against SSV Jahn Regensburg last weekend, the team achieved an impressive 5-1 victory in the Auerbach Vogtland Stadium. Coach Thomas Stamm was pleased with the performance of his team, which had been without a win in five games despite the absence of several regular players in the league.

Dynamo competed with only 15 players, including two goalkeepers, as key players such as Hauptmann, Daferner and Faber were missing. Despite these personnel shortages, the team showed dominance from the start and pushed Regensburg onto the defensive early on. The first goal was scored in the 12th minute by Dominik Kother, who was able to convert a cross from Tony Menzel. Shortly afterwards, in the 17th minute, Luca Herrmann increased the score to 2-0 with a header from another cross from Kother. Picture reports on the strong performance of the Dresden team, who played in front of 587 spectators.

Goals in a row and returns on the pitch

In the 43rd minute, Jan-Hendrik Marx opened the scoring with a free kick from 25 meters, and the celebration seemed perfect. However, the follow-up was not entirely without excitement: Immediately after half-time, in the 47th minute, Regensburg reduced the score to 1:3 thanks to a penalty kick from Phil Beckhoff. This briefly reduced the tension, but Dynamo didn't let that deter them.

With a furious counterattack, Stefan Kutschke restored the old gap in the 54th minute, and Lars Bünning finally increased the score to 5-1 with a header in the 71st minute. Vincent Vermeij celebrated a special comeback, making his debut after an eight-week injury break, but missed a great opportunity. Alexander Rossipal was also back after his injury and showed a solid performance on the pitch.

Another interesting aspect: Kother, who had already been substituted, had to go back on the field due to a lack of personnel. In any case, Dynamo Dresden knew how to convince, even if Regensburg delivered a disappointing performance. The first goal for the visitors was disallowed for offside in the 38th minute, which further robbed the team of confidence. The Süddeutsche Zeitung also highlights the return of Vinko Sapina after his suspension, which could give the team a new boost after a long dry spell.

Totally relaxed and motivated, Dynamo Dresden is now looking forward to the challenges ahead and hopes to take the positive energy from this test match with them into the next league games.
