Economics Juniors Kempten: De Maizière talks about shaping the future!
The Kempten-Oberallgäu Economic Juniors are committed to the future of the region. With around 140 members from a wide range of industries, from small craft businesses to large employers, they actively shape the economic and social framework. The organization is part of the large network of Wirtschaftsjunioren Deutschland e.V., which includes around 10,000 entrepreneurs and managers under the age of 40 who are committed to the future of the economy.
Next June there will be a special highlight for everyone interested: on July 9, 2025, the annual summer talk will take place in the Kornhaus Kempten. The keynote speaker will be Dr. Thomas de Maizière, an experienced politician and former federal minister who has made a switch to social participation in recent years. His lecture is entitled “Shaping the future – who should actually do it?” and aims to bring young and experienced generations together so that perspectives and experiences can be exchanged. How Eventfuxx emphasizes, you can register for the event now as the number of participants is limited.
This year the organization's motto is “Shaping the Future”. They not only want to recognize opportunities, but also take on responsibility and strengthen networks. Monthly events, company tours and special projects such as the “Job Shuttle”, where young people are offered insights into the corporate world, are central to their offering. But the “Allgäu Career Forge”, a job fair for adults, will also take place for the second time in September and will support those who want to reorient themselves professionally.
The business juniors attach great importance to the exchange between different sectors. Andreas Weber and Dominik Mayr, the organization's spokespersons, invite everyone interested to take part in the monthly get-togethers. Valuable contacts can be made here and new ideas can be developed. This commitment is particularly important because Germany as a business location is currently facing challenges such as rising energy prices and a shortage of skilled workers Economic Juniors Germany emphasized.
Dr. Thomas de Maizière, who retired from active politics in 2021 after almost 50 years, is now active in various social roles, including chairman of the Deutsche Telekom Foundation and honorary professor at the University of Leipzig. He also contributes his know-how to state modernization projects. After the lecture on July 9th, which begins at 6:30 p.m., an invitation will be issued for further exchange in order to work together on the challenges of the future.
These events and projects run by the Kempten-Oberallgäu Economic Juniors are not only a platform for personal and professional development, they also actively contribute to making the region future-proof.
