Rückersdorfer CSU presents a strong mix of candidates for the 2026 local elections
In Rückersdorf, the political stage is already firmly in the hands of the CSU, which is fielding a strong candidate for the local elections in March 2026: the incumbent mayor Johannes Ballas. The mayor, elected in 2020, is once again the top candidate and demonstrated his good hand in the last election by convincing the citizens. In addition to “new and old” faces, the Rückersdorf CSU list also includes many experienced local councilors, all of whom have a deep connection to the community.
The list is supplemented by fresh ideas and new faces, which is very popular with voters. Overall, the list of candidates includes the following positions:
- 1. Johannes Ballas (Bürgermeister)
- 2. Dominik Schmitt
- 3. Ingeborg Thron
- 4. Patrick Zuprin
- 5. Johannes Rocholl
- 6. Sebastian Kunze
- 7. Frank Richartz
- 8. Theo Pleyer
- 9. Heinz Kurzmann
- 10. Alexander Liewald
- 11. Maxi Zimmerl
- 12. Berndt Schmidt
- 13. Claudia Koch
- 14. Alexander Koch
- 15. Nikolai Beck
- 16. Manfred Neubauer
Departure of experienced staff
The departure of two well-known faces is striking: Peter Zech and Thomas Balles are retiring for professional reasons, which represents a challenge for the CSU. It is all the more important to pool the remaining forces and integrate the new applicants well into the existing structure.
The Rückersdorf CSU is optimistic that the list can build on both experienced local councilors and new impulses from the 2020 candidates. Many of the candidates are active in the community as well as in clubs and associations and therefore already have a lot of commitment.
Upcoming local elections in context
The upcoming local elections are crucial for local self-government in Germany. According to the Federal Agency for Civic Education, the election of parliamentary representatives in the municipalities includes not only the election of municipal councils, but also the direct election of mayors. Those entitled to vote are not only citizens of Germany, but also all EU citizens residing in this country. It is also possible to choose between the parties and electoral communities that have been given more opportunities since the threshold clause was declared unconstitutional.
The Rückersdorf voters can fight for an exciting election in which local issues will play a decisive role. Voters are often more flexible and can weigh up the different options. Are you ready to take a look at the changes that may be coming to church life?
