Ice icing accidents in the Nuremberg region: 29,000 euros in damage and injuries!

A series of traffic accidents occurred in the Nuremberg region on Monday afternoon, which were caused by freezing rain and an icy road. A businesswoman from Nuremberg, 30 years old, was driving her Renault on the A6 towards Amberg when she lost control of her vehicle at an inappropriate speed and crashed into a Mercedes. He was then pushed onto a seat belonging to a 35-year-old. The latter suffered cervical spine syndrome in this incident, but did not require any medical treatment on site. The material damage amounted to around 10,000 euros.

But the accidents didn't stop there. A 20-year-old worker who was driving a VW Crafter and wanted to leave the Langwasser junction also lost control of his vehicle due to the slippery conditions. His accident occurred at the impact absorber between the main road and the deceleration strip, in which he injured his left hand. The material damage here was around 11,000 euros.

Accidents and sequelae

The third accident involved a 30-year-old tradesman who was driving a Ford Transit on the slow lane at the Langwasser junction when he also lost control of his vehicle due to the slippery road surface. He collided with a VW Polo in which a 44-year-old was sitting who had to be admitted to the Nuremberg-Süd Clinic due to neck injuries. Fortunately, the craftsman was uninjured, but the material damage here amounted to around 8,000 euros.

The 35-year-old woman who was involved in the accident, who had symptoms of cervical spine syndrome and associated complaints, could be confronted with the typical symptoms of whiplash. Cervical spine syndrome is often the result of sudden, violent head movements - such as can occur in rear-end collisions. Complaints such as neck pain, stiffness, headaches, dizziness and difficulty concentrating are not uncommon in such cases, reports MHP Bonn.

Such a whiplash injury can have serious consequences, with symptoms often not appearing until hours or days after the accident. Healing may take several weeks, depending on the severity of the injuries. In most cases, those affected fully recover within a few months, but in severe cases, chronic symptoms can occur, such as: Physio Baumann supplemented.

Overall, the material damage caused by the accidents amounts to around 29,000 euros. Police urge drivers to exercise particular caution in such weather conditions to avoid serious injury and damage.
