Get married in the city library: get married with a view of the castle!
A wedding in the heart of Nuremberg? This will soon become a reality! On December 12th and 13th, 2025, couples can tie the knot in the Nuremberg City Library. The city library and the Nuremberg registry office have launched a partnership that creates a magical backdrop.
The wedding venue is located on level L3, where a large window front offers a wonderful view of the castle. This scenic view will delight not only the bride and groom, but also the up to 50 guests who may attend the ceremonies. The weddings take place on both days from 9 a.m. to 12.30 p.m., although the location is of course barrier-free.
Test phase with future perspectives
But interested couples should hurry up. The appointments are initially set up as part of a test phase. The additional costs are 350 euros for a wedding on Friday and 400 euros on Saturday. A small amount for an unforgettable celebration in a literary environment!
Bookings are not made via the online wedding calendar, but rather via the online service “Submit a request for a planned marriage online” or the contact form from the Nuremberg registry office. This allows you to contact us quickly and easily so that nothing stands in the way of the big day.
An innovative approach to the wedding scene
The idea of getting married in a library is not only original, it could also attract many couples who want to add a special touch to their wedding day. If demand is positive and implemented successfully, this offer could be expanded permanently, which will certainly make many hearts beat faster.
So would you like to say “yes” between the spines and pages while the castle watches in the background? Then put December 12th and 13th, 2025 in your calendar! The Nuremberg City Library and the registry office look forward to your inquiries and offer you the chance for a unique wedding ceremony.
