Driver rolls over after collision in Neuburg – two injured!
Last Friday, August 15, 2025, there was an unfortunate accident in Neuburg in the Neuburg-Schrobenhausen district. At around 2.30 p.m. on Ingolstädter Straße, a 21-year-old driver of an Opel had to brake due to traffic, which caused difficulties for a 29-year-old driver from the Eichstätt district. She noticed the braking too late and tried to avoid the Opel. She hit the right rear of the vehicle, which caused her own car to roll over dramatically, the reported Danube Courier.
Fortunately, both drivers escaped with minor injuries. The VW driver was taken to Neuburg Hospital, while the Opel driver was taken to Ingolstadt Hospital with a bruise on his left hand. The Neuburg fire department was on site and supported the emergency services in securing the accident site. Both vehicles were no longer drivable due to the collision and had to be towed away. The estimated material damage amounts to around 25,000 euros. Due to the accident, half of Ingolstädter Straße was closed for around an hour.
First aid and quick response
First responders on site immediately provided assistance to the VW driver so that she was able to quickly get out of the car. Such selfless acts show how important it is to act quickly and prudently in critical moments.
Road safety in focus
Accidents like this make it clear that road safety is a top priority. After this incident, the police will probably explain again how important it is to keep a sufficient distance in order to be able to react in time in an emergency.
In the current traffic situation, it is crucial to always drive attentively and carefully - not only for your own protection, but also for the protection of other road users. In the worst case scenario, a quick look at the street can mean the difference between life and death.
