The German Music Festival opened its doors for the seventh time and attracted music lovers from all over Germany from May 29th to June 1st, 2025. This year it was particularly exciting because the festival took place for the first time in the cities of Ulm and Neu-Ulm, which created a very special atmosphere. The Bläserphilharmonie Forchheim-Buckenhofen was there and celebrated an impressive success in its 52-year history.
With an impressive 97.2 out of 100 possible points, the orchestra scored in the highest level category 5 in the competition and was pleased to receive the rating “participated with outstanding success”. In the almost 30-minute performance in the Seehalle Pfuhl, a district of Neu-Ulm, both “Twin Ports Overture” by Marc Camphouse and “Give Us This Day” by David Maslanka were played. The event was judged by a three-person jury who recognized the high level of performances.
Festive setting and number of participants
The music festival attracted a considerable number of participants, with around 21,500 participants from a total of 445 clubs and formations. Finished with a great overall game
The crowning conclusion of the festival was an impressive overall performance in which around 6,000 brass players, drummers and pipers played together on Münsterplatz. A large parade also created a good atmosphere and showed the diversity and joy of brass music.
