Fire alarm in the cultural office: lucky, damage minimal!

On November 14th there was a fire in the cultural office on Mühldorf town square, which was quickly discovered and brought under control. Loud Innsalzach24 The fire was noticed around midday by the facility's employees, who were responsible for a barbecue on a hotplate in the employee kitchen. Despite the temporary smoke development, the damage remained minimal as only the stove top was damaged and no injuries were reported.

Although the fire brigade was quickly on site, no official alarm was raised. Instead, the fire department came to check and ventilate the office. An ambulance was not required, so the situation remained minor. However, things could have been different if the response had not been timely.

Another fire occurs on the same day

On that day, the Mühldorf fire department also met at another fire scene, like on feuerwehr-muehldorf.de reported. The fire department was called to a fire at Weißgerberstrasse 3 at 1:45 p.m. after heavy smoke and open flames were visible from the roof of an empty building. The alarm keyword “B3 – person in danger” did not bode well, especially due to the narrow development and lack of modern fire protection measures.

The fire department responded immediately. First the emergency services deployed respiratory protection and then initiated a comprehensive fire-fighting attack. Thanks to the quick measures, the fire was contained to the affected building, although the roof ridge of an adjacent house was slightly damaged. However, a large gas cylinder on the roof created an additional danger that could have led to an explosion, which further escalated the situation.

Several support services were involved, including the Federal Agency for Technical Relief with a drone to assess the situation. The fire itself was quickly contained, but extinguishing work had to be continued for several hours as embers kept flaring up in the false ceilings. The structure of the affected house suffered significant damage and no matter how many fire engines - from 11/1 to 61/1 - were in use, the community needed a little respite, which Mayor Michael Hetzl gave the emergency services in the form of ice.
