importance of volunteering

Voluntary commitment is a voluntary and unpaid activity that is invaluable for our society. It not only shows that people are willing to invest time and energy for others, but also that they actively contribute to strengthening their community. Especially in the area of social, cultural and sporting activities, over 86,000 sports clubs in Germany enable many people to volunteer. More than a million volunteers are also active in volunteer fire departments - figures that impressively show how many citizens are involved in Germany.

The increasing number of volunteers is also a reaction to the growing need for support in various areas, such as charity organizations and panels. It is a nice trend that shows how firmly volunteering is anchored in society and what variety of opportunities there are to become active. A suitable date to celebrate volunteering is the international day of volunteering on December 5th.

After the ceremonial ceremony there was a convivial end, in which those present exchanged thoughts with drinks and snacks. The commitment of the honored reminds us that the community lives from people who are willing to work for others. Your stories are a call to each of us to also become active and support volunteering.
