Students from Miltenberg compete at the spectacular sports festival!
On July 15, 2025, a highlight of the school sport of the Miltenberg district took place in the Spessart Stadium in Elsenfeld. At the traditional sports festival, around 270 pupils from middle schools, secondary schools and high schools competed against each other in three exciting disciplines: running, long throw and long jump. The event was organized by the district sports department, supported by numerous teachers from the participating schools, including Christiane Dümlein and Volker Hirsch, and accompanied by a medical service of the Red Cross willingness Elsenfeld.
In the immediate voice to the young athletes: Inside, district sports officer Thorsten Schork, District Administrator Jens Marco Scherf and Mayor Kai Hohmann welcomed the participants and spectators. Overall, there were more ranks at the start than usual: 20 teams faced the challenge of what additional momentum caused at the competitions. In competition class IV of high schools and secondary schools, the Elsenfeld grammar school triumphed with 7,029 points. The second place went to the Elsenfeld secondary school with 6,704 points, followed by the Realschule Miltenberg, which took third place with 6,638 points. For the middle schools, the Erlenbach middle school in competition class IV was the clear winner with 6,428 points, followed by Bürgstadt and Eschau. Above all, the individual ratings of the boys and girls delivered exciting results:

The competition class III of the middle schools won the Elsenfeld middle school with 7,043 points. Kleinwallstadt graduated in second place with 6,880 points, while Erlenbach secured third place with 6,711 points. The performance of the boys and girls came into play here in particular, among other things, Johannes Goss was awarded the best of the boys by the Erlenbach team.
This event once again proven how important school sport is for the community in the Miltenberg district. The good atmosphere and the will for top performance created an experience that will keep everyone involved in a positive memory.
