On July 15, 2025, a highlight in school sports in the Miltenberg district took place in the Spessart Stadium in Elsenfeld. At the traditional sports festival, around 270 students from middle schools, secondary schools and high schools competed against each other in three exciting disciplines: running, long throw and long jump. The event was organized by the district sports department, supported by numerous teachers from the participating schools, including Christiane Dümlein and Volker Hirsch, and accompanied by a medical service from the Elsenfeld Red Cross.
Directly addressing the young athletes, district sports officer Thorsten Schork, district administrator Jens Marco Scherf and mayor Kai Hohmann welcomed the participants and spectators. Overall, there were more teams at the start than usual: 20 teams took up the challenge, which provided additional momentum for the competition. The atmosphere was characterized by sporting ambition and a positive attitude.
Results of the competition classes
In the competition class IV for high schools and secondary schools, the Elsenfeld high school triumphed with 7,029 points. Second place went to the Elsenfeld secondary school with 6,704 points, followed by the Miltenberg secondary school, which took third place with 6,638 points. The best individual performances also received special attention:

In competition class III for high schools, the Elsenfeld high school was also unbeatable and scored 8,245 points, while the Miltenberg secondary school secured second place with 7,774 points. Here too there were outstanding individual performances with Jan Ballmann and Emma Blum:

Middle school victories
For the middle schools, the Erlenbach middle school was the clear winner in competition class IV with 6,428 points, followed by Bürgstadt and Eschau. The individual ratings for boys and girls in particular delivered exciting results:

Elsenfeld Middle School won the middle school competition class III with 7,043 points. Kleinwallstadt finished in second place with 6,880 points, while Erlenbach secured third place with 6,711 points. The achievements of the boys and girls were particularly important here, including Johannes Goss from the Erlenbach team who was recognized as the best of the boys.
This event once again proved how important school sports are for the community in the Miltenberg district. The good atmosphere and the will to perform at the highest level created an experience that everyone involved will remember positively.
