Successful Advent market: 1200 euros for the Maria Hilf kindergarten!

The first Saturday of Advent on November 29, 2025 was a complete success for the Maria Hilf kindergarten in Miltenberg-Nord. During the traditional Advent and door wreath sales, the facility's hard-working teachers and parents were not only able to tie and decorate beautiful wreaths, but also proudly made a profit of around 1,200 euros. This sum will now be used for further activities and projects in the kindergarten, which not only benefits the children but the entire community. A big thank you goes to all the helpers who worked creatively for a week to present visitors with a festive offering.

“We wish everyone a blessed Christmas!” said the parents’ council, who were also pleased about the lively participation of the visitors. The numerous interested people came to purchase the handmade wreaths and get in the mood for the Advent season.

Traditions in Advent

Advent is a special time not only for the Maria Hilf kindergarten. In many regions, such as Bühl, the pre-Christmas period is also celebrated with an Advent bazaar. The Advent bazaar in the Maria Hilf monastery in Bühl also offers a nice opportunity to get in the festive mood. Here visitors can discover and enjoy handmade decorations, Christmas stollen and other delicacies. The event will be given a festive atmosphere at Klosterplatz, complemented by musical performances from choirs and the municipal music school. A visit is particularly worthwhile to experience the local culture and traditions.

Many daycare centers also celebrate in creative ways during Advent. Children collect ideas and create various Christmas projects that promote a sense of community and creativity. Activities such as making local decorations or packing presents for people in need broaden the children's horizons and guide them through different Christmas traditions around the world.
