An exciting ice hockey weekend in Ulm! On December 8, 2025, VfE Ulm/Neu-Ulm not only celebrated a home win, but also duly honored the 50th anniversary of the ice skating facility. The ice hockey team prevailed in a thrilling game against TEV Miesbach 6:5 after a penalty shootout Augsburger Allgemeine reported.
The first part of the game was already characterized by tension: Maximilian Rieger scored the 1-0 for the hosts in the 11th minute, followed by another quick goal by Tobias Nöß in the 12th minute. But the guests from Miesbach, who arrived second in the table with the best defense in the league, showed fighting spirit and equalized in the first third (2:2). Dramatic twists and a gripping finale
In the second third, Ulm managed to take the lead again. Jakub Bernad scored the 3-2 in the 31st minute. But Miesbach surprised the Ulm team with two quick, outnumbered goals within just 34 seconds. Bobby Slavicek finally gave the hosts the upper hand in the 51st minute and gave his team a 5-4 lead. But Miesbach didn't let himself get down and equalized just ten seconds later, which led to extra time.
In extra time, the Ulm team had several chances, but were denied by the guests' strong goalkeeper. Finally it came to the decisive penalty shootout, in which Martin Podesva scored the last shot and thus secured the two valuable points. Coach Michael Bielefeld expressed satisfaction after the game, despite the tense personnel situation - several regular players were missing due to illness, including Niklas Munz and Simon Klingler, while Ludwig Danzer and Dominik Synek are also injured.
