In the festive ambience of the Bavarian court, over 50 committed volunteers from the Miesbach district were honored on July 6, 2025. This event, which took place as part of the final campaign of the "Readers help readers" initiative, is a nice tradition that has been cultivated since 2007 under the direction of Astrid Achterberg. District Administrator Olaf von Löwis described the excellent as "lighthouses of society", which, through their voluntary and unpaid commitment, represent an invaluable value for the community. Voluntary work is a voluntary and unpaid activity that includes many forms of support, be it through active services or financial donations.
