The aim is to support the kitchens of these establishments with purchasing, menu planning and communication so that the proportion of regional organic goods can be increased. However, the challenge of catering, especially in hospitals, is not underestimated. The financial scope here is often limited, which makes implementing the plans somewhat more complicated. Currently there is a budget of only five euros per day available for catering for statutory health insurance patients, which severely limits the options.
