On Monday, September 22, 2025, there was a work-related incident at the shipping and logistics company Dachser in Memmingen. At around 6:23 p.m., a pallet of chemicals fell from a transport vehicle during shunting work and caused a hazardous goods accident. As the Bavaria Police reported that some of the chemicals leaked, which promptly mobilized numerous emergency services.

The fire brigade and rescue service were on site in a very short time, including units from Memmingen, Amendingen, Steinheim, Eisenburg and Buxheim. The professional fire brigade was quickly on the scene and ensured that the danger area had already been cleared so that citizens in the immediate vicinity were never in danger.
