With a catchment area that includes more than 11 million people within a two-hour drive, the airport offers ideal connections for anyone who wants to travel quickly and easily. Memmingen is now one of the third largest airports in Bavaria - after Munich and Nuremberg.

An airport without seasonal gaps

A real secret behind the airport's success is the consistently high number of passengers, which is not only evident in the summer months. Even in winter, ski tourists and families are often looking for a quick connection. Ryanair has permanently stationed several aircraft that fly all year round - this brings not only travelers but also passengers to the region.

The airport has shown a good hand with its short distances and efficient processes. Current projects, which include, among other things, the expansion of the apron, additional parking positions and the modernization of the terminal and security lines, show that we are also ideally positioned for the future. The strategic goal is to increase passenger numbers to five million in order to grow closer to Nuremberg and Hanover.
