Holiday fun for children: therapeutic group in Karlstadt starts!
During the upcoming summer holidays, the advice center for parents, young people and children in the Main-Spessart district is inviting you to a special group for children. Under the title “Kids Only”, an educational-therapeutic group work will be offered in the first two weeks of the 2025 summer holidays, which is aimed at boys and girls aged 7 to 10. This initiative is intended to offer young participants a space to learn and strengthen important social skills in a playful way. Main-Spessart reports.
In a colorful program of games, crafts, crafts and cooking, the children are encouraged to be mindful of their own needs and those of others. The aim is for participants to learn to communicate with each other respectfully and to find solutions to conflicts together. To ensure that participation is suitable for everyone, a preliminary discussion with the parents or a parent is necessary.

In addition, the Bethel advice center in Bielefeld offers a wide range of inclusive group offers for children and young people, which are geared towards the individual needs of the participants. This includes, for example, special education support with horses for children aged 6 and over, as well as psychomotor concepts that introduce children aged 7 to 9 to movement, play and self-regulation. All offers are free of charge and offer valuable support, which can also be important when taking part in group offers in Main-Spessart. The Bethel advice center provides information.
Support for affected children
A more serious background that is also addressed in the work of these counseling centers is the issue of domestic violence. Children who go through such stressful experiences often feel helpless and are severely affected emotionally. The Caritas advice center offers groups especially for these children in which they can talk about their experiences in a protected environment. Here they experience security, support and a place where their concerns can be heard. Caritas provides insights into these offers.
It is important that parents and children know and take advantage of these opportunities. The counseling center programs not only offer space for exchange and support, but also promote the development of social and emotional skills. At a time when community and collaboration are needed more than ever, such initiatives are a real asset to the region.
