Munich celebrates: district festival with fire brigade and family program!
On June 16, 2025, we are already working hard towards the upcoming district festival of the Münchnerau fire engine of the Landshut Volunteer Fire Department. This festival will take place on June 28th and 29th, 2025 at the Münchnerau fire station and promises to be a real highlight in the region's range of events. The fire brigade invites all citizens to come together and celebrate the community.
The official opening starts on Saturday, June 28th at 5:00 p.m. The beer tapping by the patron and former mayor Hans Rampf, which takes place at 5:30 p.m., will attract a lot of attention. From 6:30 p.m. there will be an interesting demonstration of the TLF4000, followed by the award ceremony for the popular stick tournament at 8:00 p.m. In addition to these program items, a bar service will also be offered, which will ensure a convivial atmosphere.
Diverse offers for the whole family
The festival Sunday, June 29th, features a contemplative service for the deceased comrades of the fire brigade at 10:30 a.m. From 11:45 a.m., guests can look forward to a tasty lunch, followed by coffee and cake at 1:00 p.m. The Prackl tournament will also be held at 1:30 p.m., which will ensure excitement and a good mood.
There is an extensive program for younger visitors: face painting, a slide and a district rally, organized by the children's and youth association, are very popular. A vehicle show with the HLF20, LF20 and TLF4000 will also be presented, so technology enthusiasts will get their money's worth.
Nikolafest – Another highlight in the city
As part of the diverse district events, the Nikolafest will also be celebrated on May 10, 2025 from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. in front of the AWO multi-generation house on Ludmillastraße. This event is being organized by the residents of the district for the eighth time as part of the federal-state program “Social City of Nikola”. The city of Landshut is participating for the first time this year with a stand that presents the most important urban development projects of the past 25 years.
The Nikolafest offers numerous culinary delights and entertainment. With a colorful supporting program, the “Prima! Town Musicians,” among others, bring musical entertainment from various genres. Bouncy castles, craft activities and magic shows await the children, while information stands from various institutions point out the diverse commitment of the neighborhood for the older ones.
Both events, the district festival in Münchnerau and the Nikolafest, impressively show how lively and warm the city of Landshut is. The cooperation between different partners and the diverse selection of programs contribute to strengthening neighborly coexistence and offer exciting experiences for every age group.
The Münchnerau fire brigade is looking forward to numerous visitors and a happy celebration. The Nikolafest also invites residents and anyone interested to strengthen the community and at the same time enjoy the cultural diversity in the district.
