Experience center in Puch: Agriculture to touch for young and old!

in Puch, a small town in Fürstenfeldbruck, is created an impressive adventure center for agriculture, nutrition and nature. This unique center was opened in trial operation in April 2024 and is the first of its kind in Bavaria. It is aimed at a wide audience - from school classes to adults to interested groups. The initiators, including the Office for nutrition, agriculture and forests Fürstenfeldbruck as well as the Bavarian farmers' association , want to regain the often lost connection to agriculture.

The educational offers in this center should primarily promote awareness of the development of food. Matthias Heitmayr, district chairman of the Bavarian Farmers' Association, emphasizes that future generations have to learn to develop appreciation for nature and agriculture. Cooperations with direct marketers and the Association for Agricultural Expert Education are already being planned.

diverse events for young and old

The center already offers a colorful range of courses and events, including wild herb tours and special programs for sensitization to food waste. The special offers for elementary school students who offer opportunities for active participation are particularly exciting for the little visitors. For example, the students can sharpen their sensory perceptions in free workshops such as the sensory course in terms of food.

  • ** Sinning course **: Training of the sensory perception of food
  • ** Food lovers **: Sensitization for food waste
  • ** I help at home **: Introduction to domestic activities

The interest of schools is also growing, although it is still reserved. Registration for the programs takes place up to five working days before the event date, whereby schools and daycare centers should plan 12 days in advance.

financing and ensuring the offer

The financing of the adventure center is secured. The district provides rent -free rooms, while the Sparkasse supports 4,000 euros and an additional 50,000 euros from parliamentary group reserves. These measures enable a wide range of offers that not only conveys education, but also focuses on nature and agriculture experience. Other planned events include tours to agricultural technology and grain harvesting as well as nightly animal observations, for which the participation contribution is very moderate.

As the Bavarian agricultural research , the farm is also a popular place of learning and experience. Following your concept, the adventure center should actively involve learners in nature and give them direct access to agriculture and nutrition. The goal is to create an environment in which knowledge about agriculture and nature becomes alive.

The past shows that such initiatives not only promote education, but also contribute to strengthening regional identity. Matthias Heitmayr firmly believes that this center can serve as a model for similar projects in Bavaria. Not only the local families, but also future generations, could benefit from this vision-a real win-win for the region.
