Blitz individual championship: Chess action on June 20 in Oberkotzau!

On June 20, 2025, the lightning championship of the Hof-Bayreuth-Kulmbach district association will be held in the ATSV home in Oberkotzau. Organized by ATSV Oberkotzau, the event begins at 7 p.m. Chess players are welcome to register for this exciting competition, which promises numerous talented participants. Registration takes place by June 18, either by email to Mirko Fuchs (mirkofuchs@aol.com) or on site by 6.45 p.m.

For only 3 euros entry fee, which can either be transferred to the account of the district association or paid directly on site, the participants have the option of measuring themselves in a rapid format: Each player has a consideration of 3 minutes plus 2 seconds per train, and additional flash areas are carried out in the case of tied.

But that's not all! After the lightning championship, the Upper Franconian fast chess championship is already waiting for all chess enthusiasts in the Goldn Löwen on June 28th. Six teams are already registered here, and registrations are possible until June 26th. Immediately afterwards, on June 29, the general meeting of the chess district takes place in the Goldnen Löwen, in which several applications are on the agenda. The list of participants for the Blitz individual championship promises top-class duels. Among the already reported players are Alberto Atoyan from Armenia with an impressive rating of 2235 and the Ukrainian player Yaroslav Daschenko, who also scored over 2100 points. But not only international participants, but also many local talents from the surrounding clubs such as SC 1868 Bamberg, TSV Bindlach or the PTSV SK Hof 1892 have registered. Overall, the event will attract many passionate chess players, which makes the atmosphere unforgettable.
