Long-time employees honored: Deserved anniversaries in the Kronach district!

The ceremony to honor long-standing employees in the Kronach district got off to a warm start on September 3, 2025, when District Administrator Klaus Löffler told an anecdote about a bunch of keys that symbolizes trust and commitment. In his speech, he thanked those celebrating their anniversary for their many years of loyalty and the trusting cooperation that has shaped the Kronach district. Kronach district reports that the awards were a celebratory recognition of the employees' achievements.

One of those celebrating is Susanne Knauer-Marx, who began her civil service career at the Kronach District Office in 1985, returned after a short time at the Bamberg District Office and switched to construction administration. In 1990 she took on a new challenge in waste management, where she quickly became a department manager. After a total of 34 years of experience in waste management, her professional expertise was particularly highlighted by department head Thorsten Hentschel.

Many years of service recognized

Another person celebrating his birthday is Matthias Korn, who began his training as an administrative officer at the Kronach District Office in 1985. He has worked in the transport department since 1987 and has headed the driving license office as deputy head of the department since 2001. This shows how important the experience and reliability of the employees are for the functionality of the authority. Thomas Kotschenreuther, the head of the department, and department head Christina Hammerschmidt greatly appreciated Korn's confident leadership and expressed their thanks to him and his teammates.

A heartfelt thank you also went to the employees of the construction yard: Ulrich Holzmann has been a road guard since 1985 and has acted as a foreman since 1994, while Achim Stubler has been on the job for 40 years. Jörg Unger, who has been working as a road maintenance officer since 2000, moved to the district six years ago and also provides valuable services. Construction yard manager Christian Barnickel emphasized the importance of the construction yard for team spirit and safety on the district roads.

Human resources management and the staff council congratulate

Nina Wich brought the congratulations from the personnel administration, who also thanked the employees for their valuable efforts. Christian Barnickel, who is also deputy chairman of the staff council, joined in the words of thanks and emphasized how important the anniversaries are for the positive development of the district administration.

In parallel to the honors for the employees in Kronach, the introduction of the new pay group 9c in the 2018/2019/2020 collective bargaining round ensures a positive climate in the public service. This group is intended for employees with special tasks and was adjusted in the last collective bargaining round at the beginning of 2025. From April 1, 2025, there will be an increase of 3.0% and a minimum amount of €110 for employees in the TVöD Bund. These changes are also reflected in the salaries of the loyal employees of the district administration, whose service provides unlimited benefit to the community.
