Ingolstadt is in the starting blocks for a special folk festival that will not only delight the palate, but also honor voluntary commitment. On Friday, June 13th and Saturday, June 14th, the city invites all holders of a Bavarian volunteer card to celebrate the great achievements of around 2,000 volunteers from Ingolstadt. They receive a free beer or a non-alcoholic drink at the festivities – completely free of charge. How Ingolstadt Today reports, this cooperation is based on an initiative by Ingolstädter Veranstaltungs gGmbH and the city of Ingolstadt.

The special event is not only taking place because of the joyful festive atmosphere. The volunteer card, be it gold or blue, must be presented in order to collect the voucher for the free drink at the festival tent office. The marquee office is not the general festival office.
