New home for women's museum: cultural impulses for the city center!

The reason for the move is the sale of the historic stall to a private investor. Now the museum, which deals with the intercultural understanding and everyday experiences of women, has found a new location in the city center, which could be made possible with the support of the city. The leaders Gaby Franger, Susanne Auer and Rita Schmidt recently informed Mayor Thomas Jung and Adolf Dodenhöft, the CEO of Sparkasse Fürth, about the progress at the new location.

"The new location at Hirschenstraße 16 is optimal," said Mayor Jung, who is looking forward to the cultural impulses that will give the museum of the western city center. Dodenhöft presented a generous donation check for 20,000 euros to support the project and emphasized the relevance of the topics that the museum deals with, especially in 2025.

The women's museum will not only offer exhibitions, but also actively operate research. An exciting project will be the investigation of the role of women in Hirschenstrasse that Gaby Franger has announced.
