In Freyung, in the heart of the Bavarian Forest, everything will revolve around music in 2026. The upcoming state exhibition, organized by the House of Bavarian History organized in Augsburg is entitled “Music in Bavaria” and will take place from April 25th to November 8th, 2026. This social highlight is held in the venerable “TonYversum”, a listed building in downtown Freyung.
The exhibition will appeal to all generations and offers a comprehensive panorama of Bavarian musical culture. From traditional folk music to rock and punk to classical music and musical cabaret – the variety is huge. Visitors can look forward to a musical journey through time that presents both well-known and lesser-known sounds. The state exhibition will also open with a film in the multiplex in the Stadtplatzcenter, followed by a sound bridge to the stage show “Music in Bavaria with all the senses”.

Before the state exhibition begins, music lovers can look forward to the seventh Singer Pur Days, which will take place in Freyung from August 8th to 10th, 2025. The motto “p3 – uplifting worlds of sound” promises to be an atmospheric event that also deals with important composers such as Perotin, Palestrina and Arvo Pärt.
